The EPA has recognized geothermal as “the most energy-efficient,
environmentally clean, and cost-effective space conditioning
system available.” The agency recognizes geothermal as
a renewable source of energy that produces negligible air emissions,
because no fossil fuels (gas, propane, oil, etc.) are combusted
in creating geothermal energy. Fossil fuel emissions are known
contributors to global warming. |
